Job summary

IU Health in Bloomington is hiring experienced nurses for Surgical Services. Positions are available as part-time or full-time, with a $30,000 sign-on bonus through 9/30/2026 and referral eligibility. The role requires ASN, or BSN preferred, and an active RN license in Indiana (or NLC).

BLS and possibly other ALS may be required by unit. Workdays include a 10:30 AM to 11:00 PM shift; continuous patient care and collaboration with a skilled medical team in a 14 OR and 2 open-heart room setting.

Qualifications

• ASN is required; BSN preferred.
• Active RN license in Indiana or NLC RN license.
• Graduate from a nationally accredited nursing program. Exceptions may apply with 2+ years acute care experience.
• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification through AHA is required.
• Other advanced Life Support certifications may be required per unit/department.

Responsibilities

• Provide nursing care in Surgical Services, including Pre/Post, OR, Endo and PACU.
• Maintain patient safety and quality care in a fast-paced OR environment.
• Collaborate with team to scrub or support as needed and contribute to department goals.
