The Baylor Scott & White Health Operating Room (OR) Scheduling Coordinator 2 maintains the master OR schedule and Anesthesiology coverage. Schedules surgical patients when necessary. Assists other hospital departments in scheduling surgical time.

Relays patient information to Surgical Services and the Day Surgery Unit staff. Makes changes to the schedule and contacts appropriate departments. The Coordinator also maintains access security to the surgical scheduling systems.

Qualificações

• HS diploma or GED required.
• At least 3 years of experience in healthcare scheduling or related field.

Responsabilidades

• Provides scheduling help to ensure department efficiency. Handles calls, screens messages, and routes information promptly.
• Coordinates changes, postponements, and cancellations with physicians and Surgical Services.
• Monitors next-day schedules and revises as needed; ensures accurate paperwork for add-on cases.
• Coordinates anesthesia coverage for inpatients and collaborates with OR and related departments.
• Assembles and distributes the complete operating room schedule and ensures proper block distribution.
