Job summary

Baylor Scott & White Surgical Hospital Fort Worth is seeking a Full Time Surgery Scheduler to manage procedure scheduling for our Fort Worth locations and outpatient center. The role requires attention to detail, coordination with surgeons, and proper privilege validation.

The ideal candidate has at least 1 year of scheduling experience, basic medical terminology knowledge, and strong computer/EHR skills to support daily OR operations and staff communications.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent.
• 1 year of scheduling experience.
• Medical terminology experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Obtains all appropriate information required for scheduling procedures.
• Ensures practitioners scheduling procedures have approved privileges via privilege delineations with Director of Surgical Services.
• Posts scheduled surgical cases on the OR Log and scheduling board accurately.
• Prepares daily surgical schedules and makes them available to staff.
• Ensure maximum utilization of available OR suites and staff.
