Join Our Team!

Seattle Orthopedic Surgery Center, a division of Proliance Surgeons, has an immediate opening for an experienced circulating Operating Room Registered Nurse. Orthopedic experience is preferred. Our team works collaboratively to provide excellent patient care. The center is located in the Wallingford neighborhood, within walking distance to restaurants and coffee shops. This role does not require nights, weekends, or holidays.

Position Summary

The RN performs pre-surgical assessments, provides patient education prior to admission, evaluates care needs, requests pre-surgical clearances and diagnostics, and communicates the patient's care plan to the ASC.

Key Duties and Responsibilities
  • Collaborate with the healthcare team to ensure optimal patient care throughout their surgical experience.
  • Maintain a friendly, positive, and caring attitude with patients, physicians, and staff.
  • Assist in patient education during all phases at the Center.
  • Ensure availability of supplies, instruments, and equipment for procedures.
  • Monitor equipment functionality and manage inventory control.
  • Document patient care accurately.
  • Participate in continuing education to meet state requirements and stay current with healthcare changes.
  • Display professionalism as a representative of the Center.
  • Participate actively on departmental committees.
  • Identify and mitigate risks to patients and staff to ensure safety.
  • Perform charge nurse responsibilities as needed.
Education/Experience
  • Graduate from an accredited nursing school.
  • Current state licensure and certifications in CPR, ACLS, and PALS.
  • Preferred: Two years of OR, Recovery Room, ICU, or ER experience.
