Job description

Responsibilities

We have a new full-time Operating Room RN position available. This position involves (4) 10-hour shifts per week (40 hours). It requires 3 on-call shifts per month and may include some weekend work.

This role is specifically for our CVOR.

Our facility has 27 surgical suites, performing over 15,000 surgeries annually across various service lines, offering our nurses a wide variety of cases. We are proud to be designated a Center of Excellence for total joints, complex spine surgeries, and solid organ transplants. Other procedures include cochlear implants, strokes, TAVR, hybrid vascular procedures, cardiac, ENT, OTO, GYN, neurosurgery, orthopedics, and sports medicine. We also offer specialized treatments like isolated limb infusion (ILI) for metastatic melanoma. Our plastic and reconstructive surgery team performs transfeminine gender-affirming surgeries.

Responsibilities

The registered nurse provides high-quality, skilled nursing services, assisting patients in achieving optimal health and functional status post-hospitalization. Collaborating with healthcare professionals, the RN prepares patients and families for discharge to home or another care setting. Our nurses combine skill, expertise, and compassion to provide exceptional patient care within a culture that promotes learning and innovation.

Qualifications
  • Current WA State RN license.
  • Ideal candidates will have recent CVOR experience.
  • One or more years of recent OR (scrub and/or circulate) RN experience is strongly preferred. Training opportunities are available through our Peri-op 101 program, offered twice a year in December and May.
  • CPR certification is required every two years or as specified.
  • Additional certifications may be required for specialty areas. CNOR certification is preferred.
  • Graduation from an accredited nursing school approved by the Washington State Board of Nursing.

Preferred qualifications include ACLS certification.
