Seattle Orthopedic Surgery Center, a division of Proliance Surgeons, has an immediate opening for an experienced circulating Operating Room Registered Nurse. Orthopedic experience is preferred. Our team approach emphasizes collaboration to provide excellent care. The center is located in Wallingford, within walking distance to many amenities. This role does not require nights, weekends, or holidays.

Position Summary

The RN performs pre-surgical assessments, provides patient education, and evaluates care needs, including requesting pre-surgical clearances and diagnostics, and communicating the care plan to the ASC.

Key Duties and Responsibilities

• Collaborate with the healthcare team to ensure optimal patient care throughout surgical experience
• Maintain a friendly, positive, and caring attitude with patients, physicians, and staff
• Assist in patient education during all phases at the Center
• Ensure availability of supplies, instruments, and equipment for procedures
• Verify proper functioning of equipment
• Monitor and document supply usage and assist with inventory control
• Accurately document patient care
• Engage in continuing education to meet state requirements and stay current with healthcare changes
• Display professionalism as a representative of the Center
• Participate actively in departmental committees
• Identify and address patient and safety risks
• Perform charge nurse responsibilities as needed

Education/Experience

• Graduate from an accredited nursing program
• Current state licensure and CPR, ACLS, and PALS certifications
• Two years of OR, Recovery Room, ICU, or ER experience preferred
