Job summary

UMass Memorial Health in Worcester, MA is seeking a Registered Nurse for the Operating Room to provide direct patient care in a fast-paced surgical environment. Qualifications

• Current Massachusetts Nursing licensure and registration.
• BLS is a requirement for every RN; ACLS certification current is preferred or required per unit.
• Bachelor of Science degree in Nursing highly preferred.

Responsibilities

• Utilizes the Nursing Process for delivery and management of patient care from admission to discharge.
• Performs patient assessment and reassessment per standard procedure.
• Develops and coordinates individualized plan of care including discharge planning.
• Directs, supervises, coordinates and evaluates nursing care within the assigned setting.
• Delegates appropriately to others according to job description and competency.
