Job summary

NYU Langone Hospital—Long Island in Manhasset is seeking a Registered Nurse for the Ambulatory Surgery Center. You will provide safe, competent, compassionate care following the nursing process and collaborate with providers and the interdisciplinary team to create patient-centered plans of care.

Responsibilities include data collection, assessment, care coordination, teaching patients and families, and contributing to unit throughput and quality metrics. Active NY RN license and BLS required.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Nursing (required for NY employees hired after 9/1/2020).
• Registered Nurse licensed in New York.
• BLS certification (American Heart Association).
• Fluent written and spoken English.
• Effective communication with all levels of the organization.

Responsibilities

• Performs duties as assigned.
• Collects, assesses, and documents patient data; directs plan of care.
• Prioritizes care based on data; documents assessments.
• Coordinates patient care safely and promptly; supports escalation.
