Qualifications

• Graduate of an Accredited Nursing Program.
• BSN preferred.
• Current Registered Nurse License in NYS.
• BLS certification required.

Responsibilities

• Perform other duties aligned with the mission and values of the organization.
• Demonstrate personal accountability for professional practice and growth.
• Document patient assessment, reassessment, and progress toward goal achievement accurately and timely.
• Promote patient safety and quality, adhering to National Patient Safety Goals.
• Communicate and collaborate effectively with healthcare team members, escalating situations appropriately.
• Establish effective caring relationships with staff, patients, families, and other healthcare team members.
• Administer medication and parenteral therapy according to policy and procedure, including blood administration.
• Establish priorities for patient care delivery, using critical thinking skills to coordinate and complete responsibilities.
• Provide patient/family education and assist in discharge planning, considering readiness and barriers.
• Demonstrate knowledge and skills necessary to provide nursing care based on patient criteria.
