Job summary

MercyOne North Iowa Medical Center in Mason City, IA seeks an OR Registered Nurse for a part-time, rotating shift role. You will circulate and scrub for a wide variety of surgical cases with training provided, working closely with surgeons, anesthesia, and the team to ensure safe, efficient care.

Qualifications

• Associate Degree in Nursing or RN program graduate required.
• Current RN licensure in Iowa or multi-state licensure required.

Responsibilities

• Circulate and scrub for a wide variety of surgical cases with training provided.
• Participate in cardiac, neuro, and robotic-assisted procedures.
• Grow robotics skills with leading surgical technology.
• Assess patient needs pre-, intra-, and post-operatively and respond to changes.
• Collaborate with the surgical team to support optimal outcomes.
• Document care and patient responses accurately and timely.
• Educate patients and families on procedures and post-op care.
• Support, guide, and delegate tasks to LPNs and Nursing Assistants.
• Participate in ongoing education, team meetings, and quality initiatives.
• Float to other units or adjust shifts to support patient care.
