Job summary

MercyOne Medical Group – North Iowa is seeking an OR Registered Nurse to join our surgical team in Mason City, IA. This role supports operative and invasive procedures, collaborating with surgeons, anesthesia providers, and staff to ensure safe, efficient patient care.

You'll circulate and scrub on diverse cases, including cardiac, neuro, and robotic-assisted procedures, with hands-on robotics training and opportunities for professional growth in a mission-driven, equal-opportunity environment.

Qualifications

• Associate Degree in Nursing or graduate from an RN program required.
• Current RN Licensure in the state of Iowa, or qualified multistate licensure required.

Responsibilities

• Circulate and scrub for a wide variety of surgical cases with full training provided.
• Participate in cardiac, neuro, and robotic-assisted procedures.
• Grow robotics skills with hands-on experience with leading surgical technology.
• Assess patient needs pre-, intra-, and post-op, responding quickly to changes in condition.
• Collaborate with the surgical team to support optimal patient outcomes.
• Document care and patient responses accurately and in a timely manner.
• Educate patients and families on procedure expectations and post-op care.
• Support, guide, and delegate tasks to LPNs and Nursing Assistants as needed.
• Participate in ongoing education, team meetings, and quality initiatives.
• Float to other units or adjust shifts as needed to support patient care.
