Job summary

MercyOne North Iowa Medical Center in Mason City, IA seeks an OR Registered Nurse to join our surgical team in a full-time, day-shift role. You will circulate and scrub across diverse procedures, growing robotics experience and collaborating with surgeons and anesthesia providers to ensure safe, efficient care.

Minimum qualifications include an Associate Degree in Nursing and Iowa RN licensure, with ACLS within 6 months of hire.

Qualifications

Current RN Licensure in the state of Iowa or multi-state licensure
ACLS certification within 6 months of hire
Associate Degree in Nursing or equivalent RN program completion

Responsibilities

Circulate and scrub for a wide variety of surgical cases with full training provided
Participate in high-acuity cardiac, neuro, and robotic-assisted procedures
Grow robotics skills with leading surgical technology
Assess patient needs pre-, intra-, and post-operatively and respond quickly to changes
Collaborate with the surgical team to anticipate needs and support outcomes
Document care and patient responses accurately and promptly
Educate patients and families on procedure expectations and post-op care
Support, guide, and delegate tasks to LPNs and Nursing Assistants as needed
Participate in ongoing education, team meetings, and quality initiatives
Float to other units or adjust shifts as needed to support patient care
