Job summary

Point Meadows Surgery Center in Jacksonville, FL is seeking an Operating Room RN to provide direct patient care in the perioperative setting. You will support surgeons and anesthesia providers, ensuring patient safety, comfort and dignity throughout procedures.

The role offers a Monday–Friday schedule with no nights, weekends, or call, competitive hourly pay, and benefits. Ideal candidates hold an active RN license, BLS and ACLS, and a perioperative nursing background.

Qualifications

• Active RN license.
• Current BLS and ACLS certification.
• Associate's degree or higher in nursing.
• Perioperative nursing experience preferred.
• Strong teamwork, communication, and patient-advocacy skills.

Responsibilities

• Serve as circulating nurse, supporting patients, surgeons, and anesthesia staff during procedures
• Prepare and maintain a safe, sterile, and efficient operating environment
• Accurately assess patient needs, provide reassurance, and involve families in care decisions when appropriate
• Collaborate with the surgical team and communicate effectively with patients, physicians, and colleagues
• Support patient safety, risk management, and quality improvement initiatives
• Participate in staff education, orientation, and professional development
• Organize and manage supplies, equipment, and staff for effective case management

Role Summary

What You’ll Do

What You’ll Bring

• Active RN license
• Current BLS and ACLS certification

Physical & Work Environment Requirements

• Frequent standing, walking, and lifting
• Occasional stooping, kneeling, or climbing
• Regular interaction with patients of all ages in a fast-paced surgical environment
• Ability to lift/move up to 50 lbs (occasionally up to 100 lbs) and meet physical demands of the role
