Job summary

The George Washington University Hospital is seeking an OR Registered Nurse to provide direct patient care during surgical procedures in a high-acuity environment in Washington, DC. You will work closely with surgeons, anesthesia providers, and surgical techs to maintain sterile technique and patient safety.

Ideal candidates have 1+ year of operatory experience, DC RN licensure or eligibility, and BLS/ACLS certification. The role offers professional growth within a large academic medical center.

Qualifications

• Current DC RN license or eligibility for DC licensure.
• BLS and ACLS certification (AHA).
• Minimum 1 year of experience in the Operating Room or perioperative setting.
• CNOR certification preferred.

Responsibilities

• Deliver direct patient care during surgical procedures in a safe, sterile environment.
• Collaborate with a multidisciplinary surgical team to ensure patient safety and high-quality outcomes.
• Circulate or scrub for procedures across multiple specialties; perform pre-op assessments and intra-op monitoring.
