Job summary

Mercy St. Louis Hospital invites nursing students to join the Operating Room RN Residency and Earn as You Learn Program. Participants complete a five-month residency with structured mentorship, classroom and online learning, and hands-on practice in OR circulator and scrub roles.

Upon graduation, nurses transition into specialty mentorship within service lines such as General Surgery, GYN, Ortho/Neuro, or ENT, while earning a stipend and gaining valuable clinical experience.

Qualifications

• Nursing degree from an accredited program.
• Active RN license in Missouri.
• BLS certification required.

Responsibilities

• Participate in the OR RN Residency program with classroom didactics, online learning modules, and hands-on clinical practice.
• Complete residency hours Monday–Friday, 7am–3pm, with a 30-minute call time requirement.
• Transition into a specialty mentorship after residency for focused service-line training.

Education

Nursing degree from an accredited school

Current Registered Nurse (RN) license in Missouri
