Job summary

Cleveland Clinic is seeking an Assistant Nurse Manager for the Operating Room at Fairview Hospital. You will assist the Nurse Manager, supervise RNs and nursing staff, and coordinate patient admissions and care planning in a busy surgical unit.

The role requires BSN, RN licensure, BLS and ACLS, plus 2 years of RN experience. You’ll contribute to quality improvement, staff development, and policy implementation while supporting patient-centered care on day shifts with rotating weekends.

Qualifications

• Graduate from an accredited school of professional nursing.
• Bachelor’s Degree in Nursing (BSN).
• Current state RN licensure.
• BLS certification through AHA or Red Cross.
• ACLS through AHA must be presented on hire or within first year.
• Two years of recent RN experience.
• Strong clinical knowledge and skills.

Responsibilities

• Supervise and support RNs and nursing staff.
• Oversee admissions, assess patient needs, and initiate care plans.
• Evaluate and document patient progress.
• Develop and implement nursing programs, policies, and unit objectives.
• Ensure efficient delivery of health services and collaborate across departments.
• Supervise caregiver schedules and orient new staff.
• Support quality improvement projects and outcomes studies.
