University Hospital seeks an Assistant Nurse Manager for the Operating Room to oversee day-to-day shift operations on the inpatient care unit and perioperative services team.

You will manage staffing, assign shifts to ensure efficiency, mentor staff, maintain clinical competencies, and communicate with the Nurse Manager. This role acts as a daily board runner to integrate OR activities and ensure patient care standards.

Formación

• Licensed as a Registered Nurse in the State of New Jersey.
• Bachelor’s Degree in Nursing preferred.
• BLS certification required.
• Phlebotomy or IV certification required.
• Proficiency in English.

Responsabilidades

• Manage day-to-day shift operations on inpatient care units.
• Direct staffing and assign shifts to improve efficiency and reduce overtime.
• Act as clinical mentor and problem-solver for staff.
• Ensure clinical competencies and communicate with the Nurse Manager.
• Serve as daily board runner to coordinate perioperative activities and standards compliance.
