Job summary

Abington Memorial Hospital in Pennsylvania seeks a Registered Nurse for the operating room. Full-time day shift; (4) 10-hour shifts are available.

Prior operating room experience is required; circulating and scrubbing experience preferred. You will work within a multidisciplinary team to deliver safe, high-quality patient care, using evidence-based practices and adhering to hospital protocols and patient-family education.

Qualifications

• Graduate of an accredited nursing program.
• Patient-centered practice and cultural sensitivity.
• Strong communication and teamwork abilities.
• Ability to follow nursing protocols and ensure safety.
• Knowledge of health information documentation.
• Active PA RN license required.

Responsibilities

• Interacts with patients and families to deliver compassionate care.
• Circulate and scrub in operating room as assigned.
• Adheres to evidence-based nursing practices and safety protocols.
• Collaborates with inter-professional teams for optimal outcomes.
• Participates in safety and quality improvement initiatives.
• Precepts and mentors appropriate staff members.
