Abington Memorial Hospital in Abington, PA is seeking a Registered Nurse for a full-time Day shift in the operating room. Four 10-hour shifts are available. Prior operating room experience is required, circulating and scrubbing experience is preferred.

The RN will use the nursing process to address physical, psychological, emotional, and social needs; develop care plans with patients and families; participate in safety and quality initiatives; and act as a primary preceptor to staff as needed.

Formación

• Specialized Diploma graduate of an accredited nursing program.
• Knowledge of patient-centered practice and cultural sensitivity.
• Effective communication and delegation to team members.
• Ability to conduct patient assessments and plan care.
• Experience following nursing protocols and evidence-based practices.

Responsabilidades

• Deliver nursing care in the operating room setting.
• Collaborate with patients and families to identify learning needs and provide education.
• Utilize health IT to document care and monitor outcomes.
• Work within inter-professional teams to coordinate safe patient care.
• Participate in safety, quality improvement activities, and precept staff as needed.
