Job summary

Abington Memorial Hospital seeks a Registered Nurse for the operating room on a full-time day shift. Prior OR experience is required, with circulating and scrubbing experience preferred. Four 10-hour shifts are available.

The role supports evidence-based practice and patient-centered care within Jefferson Health, emphasizing teamwork, safety, and quality improvement in a high-acuity surgical setting.

Qualifications

• Specialized Diploma Graduate of an accredited school of nursing.
• Knowledge of patient- and family-centered care and collaboration with patients and families.
• Cultural awareness in diverse populations and settings.
• Effective communication skills for engaging patients, families and staff.
• Knowledge of nursing assessment, care planning and documentation.
• Education of patients and families about conditions, medications and care steps.
• Medication administration knowledge for inpatient settings.
• Discharge planning knowledge for post-discharge care arrangements.
• Clinical judgment and nursing diagnosis within standard care protocols.
• Health information documentation and charting in medical records.
• BLS - Basic Life Support certification.
• Active RN license in Pennsylvania.
