Job summary

Hartford Hospital is seeking an OR Nurse to function as Circulator/Scrub in the Operating Room. You will organize and deliver individualized patient care in accordance with hospital policies and professional standards, and participate in teaching and quality improvement activities.

The Core OR supports a wide range of specialties and provides 24/7 coverage. Previous OR experience is required; BSN preferred and BLS at hire. CNOR preferred.

Qualifications

• Current active CT RN License required.
• Previous OR experience required (Novice nurses may apply to Transition to Practice).
• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification required at time of hire.
• CNOR certification preferred.

Responsibilities

• Functions as Circulator/Scrub Nurse in the Operating Room and provides professional patient care per hospital policies and standards.
• Participates in patient teaching and quality improvement activities, addressing age/cultural needs.
• Provides care across Core OR specialties and supports 24/7 OR coverage.
• Engages in ongoing learning with new equipment and procedures.
