Job summary

Hartford Hospital, a premier teaching hospital, is seeking an OR Nurse to function as Circulator/Scrub in the Operating Room. You will organize and provide individualized patient care in a fast-paced surgical environment, in line with AORN, ASPAN and SGNA standards.

The role emphasizes patient teaching, teamwork, and ongoing quality improvement activities, with opportunities to engage in cutting-edge procedures within Hartford HealthCare.

Qualifications

• Current active CT RN License
• Previous OR experience required (OR Novice nurses may apply to Transition to Practice)
• BSN preferred
• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification required at time of hire
• CNOR certification preferred

Responsibilities

• Serve as Circulator/Scrub Nurse in the Operating Room.
• Provide individualized, professional patient care in the OR according to policies and professional standards.
• Participate in patient teaching and quality improvement activities.
