Job summary

Hartford Hospital is seeking an OR Nurse to function as Circulator and Scrub in the Operating Room. The role delivers individualized nursing care and participates in teaching and quality improvement within a state‑of‑the‑art surgical setting.

The Core OR handles a wide range of procedures with 24/7 coverage. Required: CT RN license and OR experience; BLS at hire; BSN preferred; CNOR preferred for advancement.

Qualifications

• Current active CT RN License.
• Previous OR experience required. OR Novice nurses may apply to transition program.
• BSN preferred.
• BLS certification required at time of hire.
• Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.

Responsibilities

• The OR Nurse functions as Circulator/Scrub Nurse in the Operating Room.
• Organizes and administers individualized patient care in the OR.
• Participates in patient teaching and quality improvement activities.
• Support is provided for a diverse group of surgical specialties and 24/7 coverage.
