The role requires CT RN License and OR experience; BLS is mandatory at hire. The Core OR handles diverse surgeries with opportunities for learning and advancement within a leading teaching hospital.

Qualifications

• Current active CT RN License
• Previous OR experience required (OR Novice nurses may apply to program)
• BSN Preferred
• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification required at time of hire
• Excellent interpersonal skills
• Independent problem‑solving skills
• Excellent communication skills
• CNOR certification preferred

Responsibilities

• The OR Nurse functions as Circulator/Scrub Nurse in the Operating Room.
• Provides nursing care in accordance with hospital and professional standards.
• Participates in patient teaching and quality improvement activities.
• Ensures 24/7 operating room coverage and supports innovative practices.
