Job summary

The Ohio State University East Hospital is seeking an Instrumentation Coordinator to support Central Sterile Supply and ensure aseptic, ready-to-use instruments for surgeries and exams. The role coordinates daily operations between the Operating Room and Sterile Processing, oversees decontamination and sterilization, and helps standardize instrument trays across the enterprise.

Requires HS diploma or GED; 1 year instrument processor or Surgical Technologist experience; CRCST or CSPDT

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• At least one year of experience in instrument processing or as a Surgical Technologist.
• CRCST or CSPDT certification required within six months of hire.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate daily activities between the Operating Room and Sterile Processing to support case cart flow.
• Oversee decontamination, assembly, sterilization and high-level disinfection of reprocessed inventory.
• Procure and standardize instrument trays across the enterprise.
• Support multiple sites including East Hospital and offsite locations.
• Participate in process improvements and ensure aseptic delivery of sterile supplies.
