The University of Rochester is seeking an OR Equipment Specialist in Rochester, NY to prepare robotics, lasers, and other operating room gear for Faculty and clinical staff. You will ensure equipment is functional before patient cases and sync it with software, maintaining safety and accuracy.

As the SME for OR equipment upgrades, you will troubleshoot issues, support sterilization and maintenance, assist with both emergency and scheduled cases, and stay current on device certifications.

Qualifications

• High School diploma or equivalent; 1 year of related healthcare, advanced manufacturing, or other related experience required.
• Associate's degree preferred or equivalent combination of education and experience.
• Knowledge of medical equipment and terminology preferred.

Responsabilités

• Prepares robotics, lasers, and other OR equipment prior to patient cases.
• Ensures equipment is in operating order and syncs with specified software prior to use.
• Serves as SME for all OR equipment and supports equipment upgrades and changes.
• Assists staff during emergencies and scheduled cases; maintains safety and cleanliness in the OR.
