The position requires a Master’s degree or BSN with enrollment in a Master’s program, 2 years of nursing experience in a designated specialty, and BLS certification with Virginia RN licensure eligibility.

Qualifications

• Master’s degree or BSN and enrollment in a Master’s program at start.
• 2 years of progressive nursing experience in a designated specialty; 3 months as a preceptor.
• BLS certification from the American Heart Association; licensed or eligible for licensure in Virginia as an RN.

Responsibilities

• Assess competency of new nursing staff using system strategies and focus on quality and patient safety goals.
• Integrate theoretical knowledge and evidence-based practice into educational experiences for staff at all levels.
• Prepare annual self-development plans and professional goals; seek opportunities for growth.
• Contribute to quality and safety initiatives across the organization.
