Job summary

St. Luke's University Health Network is seeking an experienced nurse leader to oversee unit staffing, patient care plans, and staff development within the operating room environment.

You will coordinate care across teams, participate in hiring and performance reviews, and ensure regulatory compliance while maintaining a patient‑centered focus. The role requires active RN licensure in NJ or PA and 2–5 years of nursing experience in a unit specialty, with strong leadership abilities and commitment

Responsibilities

• Develops, evaluates and adjusts staffing based on patient care needs.
• Assigns responsibility for patient care with unit-based teams.
• Maintains departmental records for administrative and regulatory purposes.
• Facilitates staff education activities (orientation, competency, in-servicing).
• Provides input to annual performance reviews of assigned staff.
• Participates in hiring and counseling staff.
• Handles customer service activities and complaints from patients, families, staff or physicians.
• Manages daily operations within budget parameters.
• Performs comprehensive patient assessments and plans of care.
• Implements and documents care interventions and evaluates outcomes.
