Job summary

University Hospital is seeking a Nurse Manager of the Operating Room to operationalize the care delivery system in the OR. You will direct, coach, and delegate to staff to ensure clinically and fiscally sound care, safety, and efficiency, with 24-hour accountability for the unit and the ongoing Performance Improvement Plan.

The role requires NJ RN licensure, a Bachelor’s in Nursing (Master’s preferred), and at least 3 years of clinical care delivery experience, with BLS/CPR certification.

Qualifications

• Current NJ RN license.
• Bachelor’s in Nursing required; Master’s preferred.
• Minimum of 3 years clinical care delivery experience.
• Certification in Quality Improvement Techniques preferred.
• BLS (CPR) required.

Responsibilities

• Direct and coach OR staff to deliver clinically and fiscally sound care.
• Oversee 24-hour nursing operations for the operating room.
• Develop and monitor the unit's performance improvement plan.
• Foster collaboration and staff pride through leadership.
