Job summary

The Hospital of Central Connecticut is seeking an OR Nurse to function as Circulator/Scrub in the Operating Room. You will organize and deliver individualized patient care in line with hospital and AORN, ASPAN, SGNA standards.

Applicants should have a CT RN license with BLS certification; ACLS within 6 months if not already possessed. Prior acute care and surgical experience is highly valued, as is effective communication with physicians and staff.

Qualifications

• CT RN license is required.
• BLS certification required; ACLS to be obtained within 6 months if not already possessed.
• 1 year of acute care; 2 years of surgical experience preferred.
• Must communicate effectively and work closely with physicians and staff.

Responsibilities

• As Circulator/Scrub Nurse in the Operating Room, organize and provide individualized patient care.
• Participate in patient teaching and adapt care to age/cultural needs.
• Contribute to quality improvement activities and hospital protocols.
