Job summary

The Hospital of Central Connecticut is seeking an OR Nurse who will serve as Circulator/Scrub Nurse in the Operating Room. The role delivers individualized patient care in accordance with hospital standards and participates in teaching and quality improvement activities.

Required CT RN license with BLS; ACLS within 6 months if not already held. 1 year acute care and 2 years surgical experience preferred; strong communication and organizational skills are essential.

Qualifications

• CT RN license required.
• BLS Certification required; ACLS to be obtained within 6 months if not already possessed.
• 1 year of acute care, two years surgical experience preferred.
• Must be able to communicate effectively, and work closely with all physicians and staff.
• Strong organizational skills.

Responsibilities

• Functions as Circulator/Scrub Nurse in the Operating Room.
• Organizes and administers individualized, professional patient care.
• Participates in patient teaching; incorporates age/cultural needs in planning and providing care.
