Job summary

The Hospital of Central Connecticut invites applications for an OR Nurse skilled in Circulator/Scrub roles in the Operating Room. You will organize and deliver patient care following hospital policies and recognized standards, while participating in teaching and quality initiatives.

Required CT RN license with BLS; ACLS within 6 months if not already held. BSN preferred, 1 year acute care and 2 years surgical experience preferred. Strong communication and organizational skills are essential.

Qualifications

• Valid CT RN License required.
• BSN preferred by the hospital.
• BLS Certification required; ACLS to be obtained within 6 months if not possessed.
• 1 year of acute care, 2 years surgical experience preferred.
• Ability to communicate effectively and work closely with physicians and staff.
• Strong organizational skills and commitment to patient care.

Responsibilities

• Functions as Circulator/Scrub Nurse in the Operating Room.
• Organizes and administers individualized patient care in the OR.
• Provide nursing care per hospital, AORN, ASPAN and SGNA standards.
• Participate in patient teaching, considering age/cultural needs in planning care.
• Engage in quality improvement activities.
