Job summary

UCI Health in Orange County is seeking a Registered Nurse to join the Surgical Services team. The RN will organize, plan, direct, and coordinate high-quality, individualized patient care across the perioperative continuum.

Under supervision of the Director of Surgical Services or Clinical Manager, the nurse will collaborate with physicians and staff to meet department goals, and deliver compassionate care to patients from infant to older adulthood.

Qualifications

• Must possess the skill, knowledge and ability essential to the successful performance of assigned duties.
• Must demonstrate customer service skills appropriate to the job.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills in English.
• Ability to maintain a work pace appropriate to the workload.
• Ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships across the Health System.
• Current California Registered Nurse License.
• American Heart Association Basic Life Support (AHA BLS).
• American Heart Association Advanced Cardiac Life Support (AHA ACLS).
• Six months experience as a perioperative nurse.
