Mount Sinai Medical Center of Florida, Inc. is seeking an experienced Operating Room Nurse to join our surgical team for 5x8 shifts. The department description includes perioperative care, assessment, and documentation for diverse patient populations.

The ideal candidate holds Florida RN licensure, BLS certification, and CNOR is preferred for OR nurses; BSN is preferred. A minimum of 2 years in the operating room or related area is expected, with strong teamwork and patient safety emphasis.

Qualifications

• Current RN licensure in the state of Florida (FL) is required.
• BLS certification required; CNOR preferred for OR nurses.
• Graduation from an accredited school of nursing; BSN preferred.
• Experience level III: Min 2 years in area of specialty.

Responsabilités

• Prepares the OR suite appropriately to receive a new admission.
• Greets the patient upon arrival and initiates hemodynamic monitoring.
• Evaluates, assesses and documents patient's surgical status.
• Report abnormal findings to physician and document pre/post-op counts.
• Demonstrates ability to handle difficult situations dealing with conflict in a timely manner.
