Job summary

HiredFirst is seeking an experienced Operating Room Registered Nurse (OR Circulator) to provide perioperative nursing care in a fast-paced surgical environment. The OR RN will function as the circulator during surgical procedures, ensuring patient safety, sterile technique compliance, and coordination of care throughout the perioperative process.

In this role, you will cover 4 x 10-hour shifts with a typical start time of 0630, and call may be required.

Qualifications

• Minimum 2 years of recent Operating Room experience.
• Circulating experience required.
• BLS certification required.
• ACLS preferred.
• Ability to take call and work flexible scheduling.

Responsibilities

• Serve as the circulating nurse for a variety of surgical procedures.
• Conduct pre-operative patient assessments and surgical time-outs.
• Maintain sterile field integrity and enforce surgical safety protocols.
• Coordinate with surgeons, anesthesia providers, scrub techs, and support staff.
• Monitor patient status and respond to changes appropriately.
• Ensure compliance with hospital policies and regulatory standards.
