Job summary

Mount Sinai Medical Center in Florida is seeking an Experienced Operating Room Nurse to join our OR team. The role involves preparing the OR, monitoring patients, coordinating with anesthesia, and ensuring safety and documentation throughout the perioperative process.

Qualified candidates have active Florida RN licensure, BLS, and ideally CNOR. ACLS is required for PACU, with CPAN/CAPA preferred for peri-anesthesia. We offer comprehensive benefits and opportunities for professional growth.

Qualifications

• Current FL RN licensure required for OR nursing roles.
• BLS certification required for all OR nurses.
• CNOR certification preferred for OR roles; CPAN/CAPA preferred for peri-anesthesia.
• ACLS certification required for PACU nurses; PALS may be preferred in some areas.

Responsibilities

• Prepares the OR suite for incoming procedures and greets the patient.
• Monitors hemodynamics, documents status, and reports abnormal findings.
• Assists anesthesia with input/output and blood product management.
• Documents blood administration and ensures accuracy of counts.
• Performs pre/post-op safety checks and applies sterile technique.
• Performs perioperative care including positioning, dressing changes, and specimen collection.
• Transfers and discharges patients per policy and documents transfer summaries.
