Job summary

Northwest Medical Center Tucson is seeking an RN Charge in the Main OR to oversee daily department operations during the 0600-1430 day shift, Monday to Friday. The role runs the board, coordinates staffing, and ensures efficient patient care in a 16-surgical-suite facility with advanced procedures.

Eligible experienced OR RNs can receive a $20,000 sign-on bonus. The position requires OR nursing experience with state RN licensure, BLS, and ACLS preferred.

Qualifications

• 1-2 years of clinical nursing experience in the OR required.
• RN licensure and BLS certified.
• ACLS preferred but not required.

Responsibilities

• Supervises and supports nursing and support staff, delegating tasks.
• Evaluates staff performance, provides coaching.
• Oversees patient care planning and evaluation.
• Coordinates with multidisciplinary teams for patient flow and care delivery.
• Ensures effective handoffs and unit huddles.
