Job summary

The RN Charge in the Main OR at Northwest Medical Center in Tucson, AZ is a full-time weekend shift leadership role overseeing OR operations and staffing. The position ensures efficient delivery of high-quality patient care on Saturday through Monday from 6:30 am to 7:00 pm.

Requires 1–2 years of OR nursing experience and active RN licensure; BLS is required and ACLS is preferred. A $20,000 sign-on bonus is available for eligible experienced OR RNs.

Qualifications

• 1–2 years of OR nursing experience
• RN licensure in state, compact state licensure acceptable
• BLS required; ACLS preferred

Responsibilities

• Oversees nursing and support staff on the unit
• Monitors staffing and productivity for weekend shift
• Ensures patient care plans are followed and updated
• Coordinates with physicians and healthcare teams
• Maintains compliance with safety and infection control protocols
• Leads unit huddles and handoffs; participates in quality audits
