Job summary

BayCare Health System, Surgery-MCH at Mease Countryside, is seeking a full-time OR Care Tech to assist in the operating room and recovery area under RN supervision. The role requires up-to-date BLS, a high school diploma or equivalent, and preferred technical training with at least 1 year in perioperative care.

On-site duties include patient prep, sterile processes, and equipment handling. This on-site position offers full-time hours (6:30AM - 5:00PM) with occasional weekend work and on-call

Qualifications

• BLS certification required.
• High School diploma or equivalent required.
• Technical program completion or degree preferred.
• 1 year of procedural and/or perioperative in-patient care experience.

Responsibilities

• Perform direct and indirect patient care tasks under the direction of an RN.
• Assist in the operating room during surgery and in the recovery room.
• Manage supplies, equipment, and sterilizers; support preparation of patients for surgery.

OR Care Tech Responsibilities

Perform direct and indirect patient care tasks under the direction of and oversight of an RN. Responsible for supplies / equipment and performs other duties as assigned including, but not limited to the preparation of patients for surgery / procedures; assists in the operating room during surgery and in the recovery room; and performs support duties to include the cleaning and maintenance of supplies, instruments and sterilizers

Requirements

• BLS (Basic Life Support)
• High School or Equivalent
• Preferred

• 1 year of experience in procedural and/or perioperative in-patient care.
