Job summary

BayCare Health System in Winter Haven, FL is seeking an OR Care Tech to perform direct and indirect patient care under an RN's supervision. Responsibilities include assisting in the operating room and recovery, preparing patients, and managing supplies and sterilizers.

The role requires a high school diploma or equivalent with a BLS certification; preferred technical program completion. Shift 9:00am–5:30pm, full-time, on-site with occasional weekend work.

Qualifications

• 1 year of experience in procedural and/or perioperative in-patient care.
• Preferred: Technical program completion or degree.
• High School or Equivalent education required or preferred depending on role.

Responsibilities

• Perform direct and indirect patient care tasks under the direction of an RN.
• Assist in the operating room during surgery and in the recovery room.
• Prepare patients for surgery and procedures; manage supplies and equipment.
• Clean and maintain supplies, instruments, and sterilizers.

OR Care Tech Responsibilities

Perform direct and indirect patient care tasks under the direction of and oversight of an RN. Responsible for supplies / equipment and performs other duties as assigned including but not limited to the preparation of patients for surgery / procedures; assists in the operating room during surgery and in the recovery room; and performs support duties to include the cleaning and maintenance of supplies, instruments and sterilizers.

• BLS (Basic Life Support)
• High School or Equivalent
