Job summary

BayCare Health System in Tampa is seeking an OR Care Tech to assist in the operating room and recovery area under the supervision of an RN. The role supports patient preparation, sterile processing, and equipment management to ensure efficient perioperative care.

This full-time position offers exposure to a busy surgical service, with set hours 8:30 AM to 5:00 PM, and opportunities to grow through formal training, tuition reimbursement, and team recognition programs.

Qualifications

• BLS (Basic Life Support) required.
• High School or Equivalent required.
• Preferred - Technical Program Completion or Degree.
• Preferred - 1 year of procedural/perioperative care experience.

Responsibilities

• Perform direct and indirect patient care tasks under the supervision of an RN.
• Manage supplies and equipment; prepare patients for surgery/procedures.
• Assist in the operating room and recovery area; maintain cleanliness and sterilization of supplies and instruments.
