Job summary

MercyOne North Iowa Medical Center in Mason City, IA is seeking an OR Aide to assist with cleaning, sterilization, instrument assembly, and the preparation of OR carts. You will help ensure a safe and efficient surgical environment for patients and staff across Mercy Family clinics.

No prior experience is required; basic computer skills are necessary, and you must meet on-call requirements. BLS certification must be provided or obtained within 30 days of hire; growth opportunities exist within

Qualifications

• High school diploma or certificate required with an interest in continuing education.
• Preferred Certified Nursing assistant or health care experience equivalent.
• Preferred CRCST (Certificate) in the Second year of employment.
• Preferred CST (Certificate) will be accepted.

Responsibilities

• Cleaning, sterilization, distribution, and recording of patient reusable supplies and equipment.
• Decontamination and assembly of instruments for the OR and clinics.
• Ensure OR case carts are properly set up with instruments needed for procedures.
• Assist surgical team to maintain a safe environment and follow policies.
