Job summary

MercyOne North Iowa Medical Center in Mason City, IA is hiring an OR Aide to support the surgical team. You will assist with cleaning, sterilizing, distribution and recording of patient reusable supplies and equipment, and assemble instruments for the OR and Mercy Family clinics.

Qualifications

• High school diploma required with interest in continuing education.
• Basic Life Support certification required or within 30 days of hire.
• Ability to meet departmental on‑call requirements.
• Willingness to learn new instruments and table setups.

Responsibilities

• Clean, sterilize, distribute and record patient reusable supplies and equipment.
• Decontaminate and assemble instruments for the OR and clinics.
• Ensure OR case carts are properly set up with needed instruments.
• Support surgical team and maintain a safe environment for patients and staff.
