Job summary

Lake Havasu Family Eyecare is seeking an Optometric Technician to support eye exams, manage patient flow, and assist the optometrist with pre-exam testing and retinal imaging.

The role requires 2+ years in optometry or healthcare, strong communication and organizational skills, and familiarity with optical terminology. Work includes evenings/weekends as needed and adherence to HIPAA standards.

Qualifications

• High School graduate or equivalent.
• 2+ years’ experience in optometry, ophthalmology or healthcare setting.
• Knowledge of optical and medical terminology.
• Understanding and utilization of optical equipment and diagnostic testing.

Responsibilities

• Assists with patient care and eye exams, including managing patient records and supporting patient flow throughout the exam.
• Performs tests to aid the optometrist with vision examinations including visual acuity measurements and retinal imaging.
• Reviews prescriptions and patient information carefully and identifies special needs.
• Maintains patient records in HIPAA-compliant systems and supports scheduling and POS procedures.
• Adheres to attendance and daily time-keeping requirements.
