Job summary

Clarkson Eyecare is seeking an Optometric Technician to support a world class Total Patient Experience. You'll assist the optometrist with preliminary testing using optical equipment to prepare patients for exams.

Candidates should have at least 1 year of customer-facing work, preferably in medical offices or ophthalmology, and be able to meet the physical demands of the role. The position may require weekends and travel to nearby offices.

Qualifications

• Previous medical office experience preferred; ophthalmic experience strongly preferred.
• Minimum 1 year in a customer/patient-facing role or equivalent.
• Favorable background check as required by state.
• Proof of identity and right to work in the United States required.

Responsibilities

• Embrace the Total Patient Experience to build relationships with patients while delivering medical support.
• Comply with HIPAA and all company policies and procedures.
• Operate testing equipment (lensometer, autorefractor/keratometer, retinal camera, visual field, OCT).
• Follow scripting for testing processes and ensure clean examination equipment.
• Interact courteously with all employees; perform general office duties as assigned.
• Support scheduling, turnaround, and patient flow to optimize the doctor’s time.
