Clarkson Eyecare care team seeks an Optometric Technician to support physicians with preliminary testing and patient intake. You will verify insurances, coordinate with doctors, and assist in delivering a high-quality patient experience.

Requirements include a high school diploma or GED, basic computer skills, and a willingness to learn. The role may require background checks and flexible hours in a fast-paced clinical environment.

Qualifications

• Previous medical office experience preferred; previous ophthalmic experience strongly preferred.
• Minimum of 1 year in a position interacting with customers/patients or the equivalent combination of education and experience
• Favorable result on background check as required by state
• Must be able to provide proof of identity and right to work in the United States

Responsibilities

• Assist the doctor in preliminary testing
• Verify medical and vision insurances
• Effectively communicate with patients, doctors, and managers
• Answer inquiries through phone, email, and in-person requests
