Job summary

Acuity Eye Group is seeking an OD & Referring Provider Liaison to strengthen referral relationships between external optometrists, community providers, and our ophthalmology practices. The role ensures clear communication, seamless referral processes, and coordinated care across optometry and ophthalmology to expand patient access.

Success is measured by growth in referral volume, provider engagement, and the strength of partnerships across our network.

Qualifications

• 3+ years experience in healthcare liaison, provider relations, or medical outreach.
• Experience with optometry or ophthalmology referral workflows preferred.
• Strong communication and relationship-building skills.

Responsibilities

• Manage provider relationships with community optometrists and referring providers.
• Develop referral pipeline for cataract, retina, glaucoma, and related services.
• Facilitate clinical communication and care coordination between refs and AEG.
• Educate external providers on surgical capabilities, criteria, and co-management.
• Track referral activity and provide insights on engagement and patterns.
• Identify new referring providers and participate in local events.
