Job summary

US Eye is seeking a Director of Physician Relations to expand referral networks among optometrists, PCPs, and eye care providers across ophthalmology, retina, glaucoma, and refractive surgery. This field-based leadership role requires exceptional interpersonal skills and clinical fluency, with oversight of three referral coordinators.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree required; healthcare/business field preferred.
• Minimum 3–5 years in physician relations, healthcare sales, or business development in ambulatory or specialty care.
• Familiarity with ophthalmology/optometry referral dynamics and co-management models is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Conduct regular in-person visits to optometrists and other referrers across the territory.
• Build and maintain a structured call cycle for existing and new offices.
• Educate providers and staff on clinical capabilities, sub-specialties, and care protocols.
• Present new services, technology updates, and clinical advances to referrers.
• Coordinate educational events and outreach activities when applicable.
• Identify new referral opportunities and develop strategic outreach plans.
