Job summary

Walmart Optometry is seeking an Associate Optometrist to partner with the Vision Center Manager and lead patient care in a fast-paced environment. You will deliver evidence-based vision care, educate patients and associates, and collaborate with medical professionals to create comprehensive care plans.

The role emphasizes autonomy, community presence, and advancing eyecare affordability while leveraging advanced equipment and technology across the store's Vision Center.

Qualifications

• OD degree from accredited optometry school.
• Licensed optometrist in good standing in state of practice.
• Experience with EMR/EHR systems.
• Experience in treating and managing ocular disease.

Responsibilities

• Provide evidence-based vision care and prescribe medications as needed.
• Deliver routine vision care per evidence-based guidelines.
• Educate patients and staff on eye health and safety.
• Consult with other health professionals to plan patient care.
