Job summary

Walmart is seeking an Associate Optometrist to join the Vision Center team in Utah. This role partners with the Vision Center Manager to deliver evidence-based eye care and promote affordable eyecare in the community.

You will evaluate patients, prescribe medications, educate patients and staff, and coordinate care with other health professionals while maintaining high standards of patient service and regulatory compliance.

Qualifications

• Doctoral degree in Optometry (OD) from an accredited school.
• Licensed optometrist in good standing in state of practice.
• PGY-1 fellowship in area such as family practice, low vision care, pediatric or geriatric optometry is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Provide evidence-based vision care and prescribe medications as needed.
• Educate patients and store associates on eye health and contact lens care.
• Refer patients to ophthalmologists and coordinate care with other health professionals.
• Complete documentation of patient history, exam findings, and treatment plans in a timely manner.
• Deliver exceptional customer service and maintain regulatory compliance across the Vision Center.
